Dedication

This book is dedicated to the following::

My parents, the late LG and Shirley Harrison for being community builders until the end. The park rangers and Parks and Recreation workers around the world who were inspired by the forefathers of outdoorsmen and women who keep the needle moving on preservation, conservation, and the wellness nature and recreation provides. African-American children who have yet to fully discover the teachings and healing that nature provides to our culture. The parents of those children to keep or begin to build an intimacy with nature for the peace and longevity in the life of your seed.

Reviews

"What a cute book that encourages kids to do something so simple yet exciting; exploring in their own yards! It is an easy read and questions at the end of the book creates dialogue with the kids. Grab binoculars or a magnifying glass and head outside."

What an awesome illustration. With a park ranger's perspective and experience, I think it speaks volumes for the author to take the time to encourage kiddos to explore. Great job!

My youngest insisted I read it over and over to him just like his other favorite books, and the older boys were very curious about the activities and wanted more. Now it’s time for me to get outside....
